L‘Acoustics Soundvision, d&b Array Calc Surface Generator

  • Hallo zusammen,

    1. Selectable Measurement Units (Metric & Imperial)

    • Multi-Unit Support: Choose between Meters (m), Decimeters (dm), Centimeters (cm), Millimeters (mm), Feet (ft), and Inches (in).
    • Seamless Real-time Conversion: Switching units instantly converts all surface dimensions, coordinates, elevation levels (Z), and floor plan scale ratios without precision loss.
    • Header Unit Indicator: A persistent badge in the top header always displays the currently active unit symbol.

    2. Unit Information & Export Verification Modal

    • Pre-Export Confirmation Modal: Summarizes the active unit, target Soundvision compatibility format (m or Foot.Inch), and total surface count before downloading.
    • Live Dimension Badge: Floating real-time HUD during drawing displays Width x Depth and total area (e.g. 12.50 m x 8.20 m (102.5 m²)).
    • Scale Calibration HUD: Displays precise pixel-to-unit ratios during floor plan calibration.

    3. Keyboard Shortcuts & Input Controls

    • X - Switch to Cursor / Selection Tool (Default mode)
    • S - Switch to Rectangle Tool (1-Click Drag & Release or 2-Click Point-to-Point)
    • D - Switch to Polygon Tool (Freeform vertex placement)
    • M - Switch to Move / Pan Tool (Relocate existing surfaces)
    • B - Switch to Vertex Edit Tool (Interactive polygon handle editing)
    • Shift (Hold while drawing) - Constrain rectangle to a perfect 1:1 square
    • Shift (Hold while moving) - Axis-Lock Constraint (Locks movement strictly to the X or Y axis)
    • Ctrl + Z / Cmd + Z - Undo last action
    • Ctrl + Y / Ctrl + Shift + Z - Redo last undone action
    • Ctrl + E / Cmd + E - Open Soundvision Export Modal
    • Escape - Cancel active drawing / Cancel axis line / Close modal / Reset to Cursor
    • Mouse Wheel (on number inputs) - Step-by-step adjustment of values (Width, Depth, Z-height)
    • Up / Down Arrow keys - Increment / decrement input values

    4. Advanced Surface Management

    • Interactive Surface Cards: Expandable sidebar cards for every surface with inline editing for Name, Category, Width, Depth, and Elevation (Z).
    • Category & Color Presets: Quick assignment of acoustic types (Audience Standing, Audience Seated, Stage, Tribune, Custom) with color coding.
    • Surface Visibility Toggle: Show or hide individual surfaces directly on the map and exclude them from exports.
    • Surface Rotation: Rotate surfaces precisely around their center point via exact angle inputs or interactive rotation controls.
    • Soundvision Acoustic Face Correction: Automatic vertex winding check ensures that 3D normal vectors always face upwards towards acoustic sources.

    5. Project Management & Multi-Project Slots

    • Multi-Project Workspace: Create, switch between, duplicate, and manage multiple projects stored locally in your browser.
    • Live Auto-Save: Background debounce auto-save ensures your progress is never lost during map changes.
    • Workspace Reset: Dedicated action to clear the canvas and start a fresh session safely.

    6. Project Import & Export

    • JSON Project Export: Export complete project workspaces (surfaces, settings, categories, and references) into portable .json files.
    • JSON Project Import: Restore saved projects or import files from colleagues across devices.
    • Soundvision .txt Export: Clean, native Soundvision geometric text export with proper LengthUnit headers, labels, and 3D coordinate mapping.
    • Floor Plan Import: Load background floor plans (PDF, PNG, JPG) with 2-point scale calibration and line-based alignment.

    7. UI / UX & Visual Polish

    • Modern Dark Theme: Refined typography, balanced contrast, and fluid transitions.
    • Responsive Sidebar: Collapsible side panel to maximize map working area.
    • Toast Notification System: Instant visual feedback for user actions (Undo, Redo, Save, Tool Switching, Export).
    • Polished Modal Dialogs: Unified design for Project Settings, Unit Switcher, Export Confirmation, and Imprint/Privacy.
