Firmware Version 1.5 - New Features

    Preamp sharing Trim option

    The PREAMP screen adds
a new Trim control with +/-24dB range. You now have the option
to choose to present either the preamp controls (Gain, Pad, 48V,
Polarity) or trim controls (Trim, Polarity) on the Surface PREAMP
    section.
This lets both FOH and Monitor engineers work with their own
independent trim controls once the Gain has been set. Of course
the engineer who owns the preamp can go to the PREAMP
screen to adjust the gain when needed.
All channels may be globally set to present either the Preamp or
Trim controls from the MIXRACK SETUP / Mixer Pref screen.
Once set, individual channels may be changed from within their
    PREAMP screen.
These settings are stored in Show memories. The
Copy/Paste/Reset functions can affect the Preamp, Trim or both
depending on which SEL keys are used.

    Dynamic FX shaping

A new DFX (Dynamik FX) button is
added to all FX. This provides two modes of operation - a Gate
function to dynamically reduce the FX level for quieter signals, or
a Duck function to dynamically reduce the FX level for louder
signals. Examples are dynamic reverbs and delays.

    Tap Tempo on Soft Keys

    Added to the assignment
options for Soft Keys. Multiple tap keys may be assigned as
these are linked to specific FX units. Choose whether to display
the tempo on the associated Soft Key LED.

    RAB2 Option card support

    This firmware supports the
new RAB2 module which replaces the existing Remote Audio
module adding slots to allow the fitting of up to two of the new
digital audio card options. Existing system may be upgraded
with the new RAB2 module. Card options supported:
M-ES-V1 EtherSound using early version AVD card
M-ES-V2 EtherSound using newer AVDM card
M-ACE Dual port ACE (audio and control over a single cable)
    M-MMO 24 ch ADAT, 16 ch Aviom, 2x 8 ch iDR ports
M-MADI 64 channel dual port MADI

    iLive Firmware V1.5

    Scene re-ordering

Lets you re-arrange the 250 Scenes by
moving, copying, deleting them or clearing their contents. Work
    with single or multiple selections.

    Scene contents list updates

    The ‘Input Channel Mixer’
item has been further divided into Mutes, Faders, Sends and
DCA assignment items to allow greater flexibility using partial
Scenes. Together with the Scene re-ordering function this is a
powerful addition for theatre productions using multiple scene
    recalls.
Improvements have also been made to the Scene contents list
    order and item naming.

    More Alt View functions

    You can now choose the
primary, shifted and Alt View functions of the strip rotary
encoders, for example to present the channel gains on the
    rotaries.

    Options include:
    PAN Stereo mixes
BLEND LCRplus main mix LR to C pan
SUB Main mix with separate sub bass feed
    GAIN/TRIM Follows preamp Surface mode
DIRECT OUT Channel direct output trim
These preferences are set from the SURFACE SETUP / Alt View
    Rotary screen.

    Dual inserts on FX

FX can be inserted on mono or stereo
channels, and now on two mono channels using the new Dual
Mono function. For example you can insert a stereo chorus
    across two ganged mono channels.

    Mute Group mode

Selected DCA groups may be assigned
as Mute Groups by locking their faders to 0dB. This is set in the
    DCA ROUTING screen.

    RTA peak frequency band display

    The RTA meter
display both in the screen and on the GEQ on Faders meters
now displays the dominant frequency band. This is very useful
while ringing out monitors on a quiet stage, and a great tool for
    learning to identify frequencies.

    Name reset to channel number

A button is now provided on the PREAMP screen to reset the current name to the
associated DSP channel number. Name reset is also provided in
the NAME&COLOUR screen Block select mode.

    PFL Trim

The AFL Trim function in the PAFL screen has been
changed to PFL Trim providing up to 12dB attenuation for hot
PFL signals. This does not affect the PAFL metering.

Editor Version 1.5 - New Features

This version adds control which now lets you configure, operate
and maintain the MixRack without the need for a Surface.

    Editor – Firmware update added

A MixRack can now have its firmware updated using Editor.
    This makes it possible to
maintain the firmware of a system without a Surface. Available
under the Edit menu. Firmware update via Editor is only
    possible from version 1.50 onwards.

Editor – Custom User Strip frame

    A window can be
assigned with any number and combination of channel, mix, FX
and DCA strips. Any number of layers may be created. This lets
you design your own strip layout for Editor independent of the
    layout of a connected Surface.

Editor – Global mix assign and pre/post setting All
assignments may be globally turned on or off, and all sources
may be globally set pre or post-fader using the right mouse
menu over the mix master strip.

    Editor – Aux send source

    The right hand mouse menu
over an Aux master lets you select the global channel source for
    that mix.

    Editor – Access Scene Safes

    A button has been added
to the bottom of each strip to make channels safe from Scene
recall. These buttons can be hidden while mixing live if preferred
using the Options / Channel Options menu.

    Editor – Mute Group mode

A button has been added to
the bottom of each DCA strip to convert it to a mute group by
fixing its fader at 0dB. These buttons can be hidden while mixing
live if preferred using the Options / Channel Options menu.

Editor – Persistent selection of PEQ graph view

If PEQ is set using the left hand toolbar then the channel SEL
window opens with the Graph view when a channel is selected if
that was the last PEQ view active.

Editor – Other features and updates

Several other features have been added including a PAFL page, TALKBACK,
MIDI control, Scene confirmation option and Event Log store to
    USB.
Known bugs have been fixed including those associated with the
    drag-and-drop assignment of Surface strips.

    Gruss

    Wolfgang
